What Else is There at Robin Hill Farm Cottages?

In addition to your cottage we have a host of shared facilities for you to enjoy and to help your holiday go smoothly.

Practicalities first:

  • The laundry room has washing machine and tumble drier – essential for spills and washing out swimming gear. If you like ironing, there is a board and iron stored in there too.

  • This is a tardis of a room as it also houses the vertical freezer which has a drawer for each cottage.

  • We have ample carparking with motion sensor lighting. The carpark is at the end of our 1/2 mile lane and set away from the cottages. You are welcome to drive up to your cottage to load and off-load on arrival and departure days.

Now the fun things:

  • You’ll probably already have seen we have a heated indoor swimming pool. Always 30degC, a practical 8m x 3.5m size with constant 1.2m depth. There is a handy set of broad steps at one corner and for those who want to have a serious swim, a resistance jet.

  • Located in the pool room is a 7 seater Hot Tub a perfect aid to relaxation.

  • Also a shower for cleaning off sandy feet before swimming and rinsing off chlorine after a dip, loo, two changing rooms plus bench for non-swimmers.

  • Pool facilities are available from 8am – 9pm and each cottage has their own access key.

  • Access to the pool room is via a large sun-soaked Conservatory. This is a great social and/or relaxation space with plenty of seating, music system, magazines and a drinks/snacks station.

  • Next door is the well stocked Games Room. With Wii U played on a giant screen, table top games (table tennis, junior snooker, table football, air hockey), giant jenga there is plenty to challenge friends and family during your stay. Toddler corner has wendy house complete with dolls and teddies, junior swing, ride-ons and building blocks. Games Room at Robin Hill Farm Cottages

  • Linking these facilities is the raised sun deck. From here the view along the Jennetts Valley looking toward the hills of Exmoor is spectacular. Spend a peaceful time here on a steamer chair soaking up the sun and star gazing on a clear night.

  • Our landscaped grounds step down in levels. The upper level outside Kingfisher and Heron cottage gardens has climbing frame, outside wendy house (this one has cooker and picnic table), and large patio table and chairs. The lower level has football goal and swingball. In between are grass banks, perfect for rolling down!

  • Exploring our site more widely, you’ll discover 8 acres of pasture to roam around and 5 acres of woodland complete with stream and woodland walk (wellingtons essential, particularly in the wood!)

  • We’re fortunate to be only 3 miles away from the Tarka Trail. A former railway, this is a car -free tarmaced trail of 80+ miles just perfect for walking or bike rides. If cycling is your thing, bring your bikes and you can store them in our secure bike shed.

  • To help inspire and guide you in exploring North Devon, we have a small library of tourist leaflets, maps and walking guides.

  • Fancy a barbeque on your patio? Just help yourselves to the kit in our barbeque store and start sizzling!

  • Last, but not least, for some quiet time indoors borrow from our small library of DVD’s, games and toddler books for an entertaining hour or two.
